Spring has Sprung!

There is no doubt that spring has arrived here at Elim Acres. The fruit trees and bushes are leafing out, the flowers are in bloom and there are babies, babies everywhere! Our first additions were 3 little red Boer kids. As the first set of little ones on the homestead for the year, they have received much attention…… perhaps a little too much. It is impossible to walk anywhere in their pen without being mobbed. Next, we purchased 7 pullet chicks as replacements for our current laying flock. These were quickly followed by a hatch of Silkie chicks and the birth of a beautiful little Kinder doeling last week. There has been so much happening on the homestead and the weather has been lovely. We are so grateful and so excited for what the rest of the year holds. God is good! We are still awaiting some new arrivals and are working on some new gardening projects. I’ll post info on each as they arrive/are completed. In the meantime, enjoy these glimpses into our life here on the homestead the past few weeks. God bless!
